Crooked Oak Nature Center is home to many animals, plants and exhibits
of the local and area wonders of Nature.
Come see reptiles, fish, mammals and insects in
our beautiful rural setting. We also hope to educate visitors
about alternative
and sustainable energy solutions such as the Windspire wind turbine for
individual and commercial use. Information about Solar
Panels and Energy Efficient Building Techniques is part of our push to a
more Green Planet. The spring-fed South Concho River
runs along the edge of town and the Hill Country
views are gorgeous. The nature center aspect of the grounds is unique in this
area. Bring the kids; along with the fun, they just might learn something about the natural world and the great outdoors.
